1. Dr. Devendra K. Gupta
 
  • He highlighted that India,as an emerging country, has to play a major role in the Global Child Health Development
  • Only 17 million children survive out of the 23 million that take birth every year.
  • 80% of the children donot have access to advanced medical services.
  • He gave examples of diseases of children in various countries in the SAARAC region.

Dr. Kamala Ganesh
  • We should work towards reducing maternal moratality and morbidity.
  • Quality health services should be provided.
  • Gender related, socio-economic and geographic equity should be there.
  • ASHA would work towards developing a health commitee at every village and a health and nutrition day every month. It would also look a great deal into the maternal health .

Dr. H.K. Mittal
  • He explained the Arogya system of Ekal and how various reputed doctors are suppoprting Ekal throughout India.
  • Training of Arogya sevika in respect of first aid, preventive medicine, anti-natal care etc was highlighted.
  • Large number of tribals and rurals living in India, die of preventable diseases every year.
  • Involvement at all places of the community is very important.
  • Awarness drives are important to impart useful knowledge.

Dr. Tarun Seem
  • To provide adequate context to National Rural Health Mission, we need organised public health system.
  • He described NRHM (National Rural Health Mission) in detail and explained that it intends at providing universal health care which is accesible, is of good quality, is cost effective and is availabe on an equitable basis to everybody.
  • There is a need to improve infrastructure of public health sectors. Inedequate doctors for the rural area is a big problem and we also need improved management of rural health programs .
  • Decentralised planning brought about by the NRHM should be followed.
  • Water sanitation, education, nutrition, livlihood need to be taken into account with overall health systems.
5. Dr. V.K. Monga
 
  • Health planning and its implementation has been really bad.
  • Every village in India has its own peculiar problem.We must identify those problems before we give services to that area.
  • Immunisation, safe motherhood and genetic care should be the top goals that we should work on.
  • 80-90 percent people in India are anemic. Therefore, we should work towards an anemic free India.
6. Dr. Deshbandhu Gupta
 
  • He compared how we are lagging behind in health parameters when compared to China.
  • He appreciated the role of Ekal and also exhorted private sector to come forward for implementation of a large number of health programs.
  • Govt should partner with pvt organisations to achieve health goals like "Aao Gaon Chalen" programme by IMA
