1. Sh. K.E.N. Raghvan
 
  • Rural population are being taught to make small ponds through which they can earn bread for thier family.
  • The cow planning has been put into action and has brought about a remarkable change.
  • Water conservation and planting of trees was highlighted.
  • Self help groups and full time volunteers help the working of ekal vidyalaya without the funds from goverment.
  • Through the process of food processing, pickels and other organic food will be supplied to the cities.
  • While making a plan we must keep in mind the thinking and requirements of the aimed community.
  • He emphasised the need to connect 7 Lakh people already involved with Ekal movement in some way or the other.
  • He gave the concept of cooperatives by villagers. The villages will produce and the consumers will be the city dwellers.
  • A large number of scientists with roots in villages are involved with this movement.

Mrs. Akanksha Chore
  • 78 million households still donot have access to electricity and till the time this is not eliminated, we cannot develop.
  • Every citizen should have access to electricity wheather he/she can afford it or not.
  • A villager should be able to harness the biomass in all its forms for all thier requirements.
  • Due to shortage of electricity, it is diverted from the villages to reach industries or for the use of agriculture.

Dr. R.R. Gaur
  • He expressed that the model of development on which the institutes like IITs are working is not flawless infact it is full of loop holes.
  • The present model has given rise to disparities in the society.
  • Various plans, schemes for development by the government and other global bodies fail because the research done by the modern institutes is not relevant to the ground realities.
  • The model of development being exercised by the city folks is unsustainable and this forum has opened our eyes.
4.
Sh. Shiv Khera
  • We are not short of resources but the resources are totally mis-managed.
  • He gave the example of Israel where you can't make a house unless you put solar energy in it. Why can't we have a similar law in our country.
  • It is better to be uneducated than to be ill educated.
  • He deplored that even after 60 yrs of independence, the capital of India does not have adequate water and electricity.
5. Sh. Rajendra Singh
 
  • He explained that all the problems are creation of the so called intellectuals.
  • He emphasised that poor farmers in the villages have a much better knowledge of their eco system compared to the highly qualified people staying in cities like Delhi.
  • Exploitation and Pollution are inherent part of the life of city folks.
  • Villagers are more disciplined with respect to exploitation of natural resources. A parliament of villagers called Arvari Parliament in Rajasthan has set an example how a dry river named Arvari was made to flow again and this river now flows into Jamuna through Chambal.
