Rural population are being
taught to make small ponds
through which they can
earn bread for thier family.
The cow planning has been
put into action and has
brought about a remarkable
change.
Water conservation and
planting of trees was
highlighted.
Self help groups and full
time volunteers help the
working of ekal vidyalaya
without the funds from
goverment.
Through the process of
food processing, pickels
and other organic food
will be supplied to the
cities.
While making a plan we
must keep in mind the
thinking and requirements
of the aimed community.
He emphasised the need
to connect 7 Lakh people
already involved with
Ekal movement in some
way or the other.
He gave the concept of
cooperatives by villagers.
The villages will produce
and the consumers will
be the city dwellers.
A large number of scientists
with roots in villages
are involved with this
movement.

Mrs.
Akanksha Chore
78 million
households still donot
have access to electricity
and till the time this
is not eliminated, we
cannot develop.
Every citizen
should have access to
electricity wheather he/she
can afford it or not.
A villager
should be able to harness
the biomass in all its
forms for all thier requirements.
Due to shortage
of electricity, it is
diverted from the villages
to reach industries or
for the use of agriculture.
3.
Dr.
R.R. Gaur
He expressed
that the model of development
on which the institutes
like IITs are working
is not flawless infact
it is full of loop holes.
The present
model has given rise to
disparities in the society.
Various plans,
schemes for development
by the government and
other global bodies fail
because the research done
by the modern institutes
is not relevant to the
ground realities.
The model of
development being exercised
by the city folks is unsustainable
and this forum has opened
our eyes.
4.
Sh.
Shiv Khera
We are not
short of resources but
the resources are totally
mis-managed.
He gave the
example of Israel where
you can't make a house
unless you put solar energy
in it. Why can't we have
a similar law in our country.
It is better
to be uneducated than
to be ill educated.
He deplored
that even after 60 yrs
of independence, the capital
of India does not have
adequate water and electricity.
5.
Sh. Rajendra Singh
He explained
that all the problems are
creation of the so called
intellectuals.
He emphasised
that poor farmers in the
villages have a much better
knowledge of their eco system
compared to the highly qualified
people staying in cities
like Delhi.
Exploitation
and Pollution are inherent
part of the life of city
folks.
Villagers are
more disciplined with respect
to exploitation of natural
resources. A parliament
of villagers called Arvari
Parliament in Rajasthan
has set an example how a
dry river named Arvari was
made to flow again and this
river now flows into Jamuna
through Chambal.
